8. Do I need to understand the Tax agent Services legislation?
As a tax or BAS practitioner registered with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) you must understand and adhere to your obligations under the tax agent services legislation, including the Code of Professional Conduct. Visit the TPB website to learn more.
9. Is training provided with the system?
The initial system implementation is as easy as using any other website. Online learning activities are available to assist you with understanding your obligations to implement and maintain a QMS. These activities are optional but recommended for maximising the value of your system. They also count towards CPE hours.
10. Can I update the system myself once it is implemented?
Yes. As the subscriber, you are responsible for maintaining and updating your My QMS system. It is designed for ease of use so that you can make necessary changes as your practice evolves or regulatory updates occur.
11. How is my data protected?
My QMS operates in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Personal and practice data is managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available at: www.myqms.com.au/privacy-policy
12. Is support available if I need help?
Yes. Technical support is available to all users that maintain a current subscription. You can also access FAQs, help documentation, and optional consulting services if you require further customisation or assistance. Support is not available on compliance-related matters specific to your practice.
13. Subscription Model
The subscription model enables subscribers to access the My QMS service by paying a recurring monthly fee, subject to a minimum contract term of 12 months. The terms and conditions of the subscription are provided prior to completing your purchase.

16. Updates
The My QMS team will, from time to time, provide general guidance and notify subscribers of updates that may be relevant to their QMS content, particularly in response to regulatory changes, amendments, or newly introduced requirements. However, My QMS is not responsible for implementing or maintaining updates within your individual QMS content.
17. Disclaimer – Subscriber Responsibilities
My QMS may, from time to time, issue guidance or highlight potential updates to assist subscribers in maintaining their Quality Management System (QMS), particularly in response to regulatory changes, amendments, or newly introduced requirements. However, it remains the sole responsibility of the subscriber to review, update, and maintain the content of their QMS. My QMS does not accept liability for any failure to customise, implement required changes or for the currency, completeness, or accuracy of content following subscription.
18. Do you have a short course on QMS?
My QMS provides a short one hour online course to aid your understanding of Quality Management and the obligations registered BAS practitioners have.
